Dr Ajaja taught Mathematics and Actuarial Science in Unilag from 1969 until he joined the National Insurance Corporation of Nigeria as the pioneer R&D manager in 1980. He retired from NICON In 1996 after serving four years on secondment as The DG of The West African Insurance Institute in The Gambia. He was Commisioner for Commerce and Industry in the old Ondo State from 1985 to 1987.
